Ranger Training in Luambe National Park

Luambe National Park is far from the big crowds of visitors and has remained largely undiscovered by the international tourism industry. Until 2018, only four Department of National Parks and Wildlife (DNPW) game rangers were responsible for anti-poaching patrols and monitoring access roads into the park. In cooperation with DNPW, the number of rangers in charge was increased by 10 in 2018.

C4C Fund took over the financing of the training of all additional game rangers. Since 2019, they have been stationed in Luambe National Park and regularly patrol large parts of the protected area on foot. Since then, a number of suspected poachers have been taken into custody and poaching activities have been significantly reduced.
